Using pre-made clock parts, and a mold or form, kit clocks were a way for the crafter or ceramicist to make a clock at home.
Shown below is an advertisement from the April 1959 Issue of Ceramic Monthly, which includes a reference to Lanshire Clock & Instruments Corporation being one of its suppliers.
Please also note the “Mold of the Month” clock kit with Garland Ceramic Original Molds, where ceramicists would receive a mold and clock equipment in order to make a ceramic clock at home.

Holland was another company that made clock molds. This advertisement is found on page 29 of the same 1959 issue of Ceramics Monthly.
